Metal Female Voices Fest VII
Oktoberhallen Wieze (Belgium)
This acoustic set should be a „Thank you!“ to the fans after the German/Norwegian band had successfully recorded their DVD at the Metal Female Voices Fest one year ago (and received the MFVF Award for the best DVD just before their show). It was only a short gig and unfortunately accompanied by the preparation of the stage for the upcoming show of Doro, but nevertheless it was gorgeous.
They presented a short cross-section of all of their albums. Due to the fact that bassist Ada Fedynitch had problems with her hand it was Tarja’s bassist Oliver Holzwart who replaced her for this gig. Although everything looked a little bit improvised (sitting on camping chairs on the stage) and was a hard cut after the quite hard and loud show of Trail Of Tears the audience was very pleased with the soulful and unusual sounding songs. Because of Livs sister being also in front of the stage I first hoped that they would sing a duet, but Carmen preferred to only watch the show from the photo pit. But anyhow it has been very nice in the end.
