Coma Divine is a side-project of the L'Ame Immortelle front woman Sonja Kraushofer. That entered just like her band members the stage in some kind of skimpy dress outfit and directly started with songs of their debut album "Dead End Circle".
The music is a mixture of gothic and metal sounding somehow strange at the beginning. Also the band's lineup (a mixture of the bands L'Ame Immortelle and Persephone) is with cellist Martin Höfert not what you would call ordinary (especially his remarkable instrument mounting was a real eye-catcher). In case you embarked to what was presented you were rewarded by a musically extremely varied melange where mainly Sonja was scintillating extremely both vocally as well as gestural. Permanent changes of soft tones towards loud and powerful ones, combined with the presentation on stage from slighly debil towards dominant agressive was really impressive. Guitarist Ashley Dayour knew to impress via his unbelievable charism and technically great playings.
After initial skepticism I liked the gig quite well afterwards and also above the audience immediately a spell was casted. the only downer was that during the whole concert there was absolutely no communication with the audience. There were no announcements nor was the meanwhile little bit numerous crowd incorporated into the gig at all. That is what the band should keep on working at because then the anyhow great show would become more personally.
