Metal Female Voices Fest VII
Oktoberhallen Wieze (Belgium)
After the opener of the day To-Mera it was up to the German band Coronatus to continue. They had with Lisa Lasch a replacement for Ada Fletcher on the rock-music style voice and with bassist Todd Goldfinger was also this instrument played by a new band lid. The operatic voice counterpart of Lisa Lasch is formed by Carmen Lorch.
With their mixture of changing clear and operatig way of singing combined with German, English and Latin lyrics they sounded a little bit strange at the first moment. But never the less it did please me very much what Coronatus showed. At least it was something clearly different to anything else that had been shown by the other bands before. Played were songs of their last two albums: “Lux Noctis” and “Porta Obscura”. Also the audience was quite impressed. And so time flew until they unfortunately had to leave the stage.
