The British trash metal band Onslaught first did not mean anything to me. Already founded in 1983 the five men can look back onto a quite varying history. In changing line-ups they recorded from 1986 until their temporary disbanding in 1991 three LPs and just as many EPs. Afterwards each one was striking out on its own until drummer Steve Grice and guitarist Nige Rockett reunited in 2005 to Onslaught. Meanwhile only Nige Rocket is left over and the rest of the band was filled up with new faces.
2007 they released a new album "Killing Peace" and this year their latest one "Sounds Of Violence". These albums were also mainly forming their set where the stage was completely drowned in red. Especially front men Sy Keeler knew how to treat the audience and immediately cast a spell over them. Again and again for a short time pits opened in the narrow tent and finally it was a concert with an appropriate volume. You could obviously see that each one on stage was having really a lot of fun with this gig. With a very good compilated set as well as with the great solos of both guitarists Nige Rocket and Alan Jordan the British really knew to convince and so I was not the only one that in the end left the tent quite enthused.
