With 15 minutes delay as closure of the long day finally Arch Enemy entered the stage. The Swedes with the German front woman Angela Gossow really blew everything out of one's ears with their death metal. Very appropriate was also directly Angela's remark after she had entered the stage: "We are here on Metal Female Voices Fest but I really do not know what I should be here for? My voice is not really female."
But it is good as it is as the agressive growsl that were spitten into the audience by her were directly mesmerizing one. The band played a cross section of all their former released albums for 90 minutes. Especially impressive was not only Angela's energy but also the great solos of the Amott brothers. Originally not fully the style of music I like but for 90 minutes at the end of such a day it was a real musical eye-opener where at least a circle-of-death formed. The atmosphere was not as good as during the previous bands but there were also significant less people there as during the last year's headliners. Overall a worthy closure of the first day.
