Oh man, 12:00 is quite early in the morning, but anyhow. Quickly wolfing the breakfast and afterwards back to the festival area again. There the Finns of Ensiferum were on my schedule. Actual optimal booze-metal (officially called pagan-metal) and so promptly as opening the crowd was asked, who was already drunk leading to only very few hands rising. The following question of front men Petri Lindroos of who will get drunk that day was answered by many more hands in the air.
So, let’s get started with music and there was plenty of it. Already after the first songs "From Afar" and "Twilight Tavern" people were getting to operating temperature where the guys and the gal on stage already got long time before. Following was a cross-section of their former albums which leveraged the crowd. It was sang along loudly, metal forks were waved through the air and so it was just the right gig to get everything going for the long upcoming festival day.
